Robert Endeacott 'Cocker Hoop' Interview
With the World Cup in swing and Christmas around the corner, there’s no better time to chat to Robert Endeacott about his latest book, Cocker Hoop, a fascinating biography on Les Cocker. Les was the right-hand man to Don Revie throughout his Elland Road reign, and to Sir Alf Ramsey when football came home in 1966. As you can imagine, the book is even more enthralling than this interview, in which we also cover present-day Leeds United, Marcelo Bielsa (obviously), and Robert’s exciting new project, ‘No Footsteps in the Snow’.
173 | Spurs Comeback
Another day, another 4-3 defeat, another scandalous VAR decision and another cursed trip to London. Plenty to be positive about? Do we know if we’re any good yet? Is Bielsa going to relegate us? There’s lots to discuss on this week’s show.
172 | GW16 Bournemouth Comeback
They say football is a game of three thirds and that was certainly true at Elland Road on Saturday. What a comeback, and what a victory for Jesse Marsch… but, but, but… we can’t ignore those first two thirds! So Marschball goes under the microscope again, along with JKA and Victor Orta. Never a dull week!
171 | GW15 Liverpool - Victory at Anfield
What a night at Anfield! The meltdown of the Leeds United fanbase inspired Jesse and the lads to the most unlikely victory since January 3rd 2010, and we discuss it in all its glory while trying to answer the big question: what does this mean for the future of Marsch and our great club?
170 | GW11 Arsenal Result + Leicester & Fulham preview
What an afternoon at Elland Road. Leeds produced a massive performance, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the evil forces of VAR. Confidence restored? Let’s hope so as we move into a pivotal week for Jessie and the lads. Come on Leeds!
169 | GW10 Defeat at Palace & Arsenal Preview
It was a worrying day in the capital as the not so mighty Whites fell to defeat against the not so mighty Eagles, thus everything is under the microscope (except the London Curse which is free to abscond this time). We also ‘look forward’ to ‘welcoming’ Arsenal back to Elland Road. Can United get back to winning ways against the league leaders? We can hope!
168 | GW9 Villa Draw and that refereeing...
Contrary to popular belief, Leeds United did play a football match on Sunday, and we discuss it! Ok, we only got one minute per day-since-we-last-played-at-home, so we discuss that too, and Willy Gnonto, Victor Orta, Joffy, Jessie, and the upcoming trip to Selhurst Park, where we are definitely due a win!
166 | GW5 Everton Draw
Paul and Rocco discuss a busy week at Leeds United that has so far delivered one point and no strikers. Still, we find plenty to be thankful for ahead of our return to Brentford, where we haven’t lost in over 3 years!
