And Breathe....
Having previously written about last-minute equalisers, it gives me great pleasure to write about a last-minute winner. However, my reaction to Raphinha’s 93rd minute penalty against Crystal Palace did not conform to the usual expectations that a last-minute winner brings.
TRUST THE PROCESS
There’s an abundance of positives to take from our trip to a stadium so lavish that nobody can afford the naming rights. For 45 minutes Leeds played Tottenham off the park, a team that was assembled at great cost, containing some world-class players and a world-class manager. Leeds also have a world-class manager, and a world-class player in Kalvin Phillips, and Phillips’ stifling of Harry Kane from centre-back was a masterclass by both.
132 | Spurs Defeat. All is not lost
A sad day in london, but all the positive signs are here despite a threadbare team and 15 year olds on the bench. Keep the faith - it'll come! Episode Features published author Rocco Dean
Leeds United U23 - Rising Stars and Rising Searches?

ALIVE AND KICKING
Leeds United burst back to life with a performance that overshadowed the result. For those who didn’t watch the match it was a decent point from a tough home fixture, for those who did it was a vibrant, energetic, and high-intensity match that the home team controlled for large parts
The Second Coming
There is a poster on my wall of Marcelo Bielsa holding the Championship trophy, surrounded by his adoring players. Of fourteen players visible, half are no longer at Elland Road. Pablo Hernandez, Leif Davis, Ben White, Barry Douglas, Gjanni Alioski, Ian Poveda and Helder Costa have all been cast aside….
131 | Wolves Draw, Southampton misery & 'Ferocious Desire'
There’s nothing better in football than an injury-time winner; finally getting what you have ferociously desired for 90 minutes, just when it seemed all hope was lost. Last minute equalisers are a little different. They always bring relief, but avoiding defeat and gaining just a measly point are rarely ferociously desired. Saturday was one such rare occasion.
Do Plan A Better
I knew, like the vast majority of Leeds fans, exactly what to expect when the 2 pm team news was revealed. I immediately stuck a tenner on Southampton to win, told my mates to do the same, and told my dad Leeds would struggle to build any attacks without Phillips anchoring the midfield and with Roberts at ‘10’.
130 | Watford WIN, West Ham & Fulham
Finally a win in the premier league against Watford. We catch up on our previous run of fixtures, injuries and latest contract talks. I'd like to write something here, to see if anyone reads these bits. Paul doesn't know we're writing this, but my big question is - Why on earth were you in the bogs during the Watford game Paul?
