📜 Terms & Conditions - Leeds, That! WhatsApp Community

By joining and participating in this fan-run WhatsApp Community, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Community Purpose & Scope

This WhatsApp Community is independently run by Leeds, That! and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Leeds United Football Club (LUFC) or any official LUFC body. It is intended solely for use by Leeds United supporters for personal, non-commercial engagement.

2. User Conduct & Safety

All members must agree to:

  • Treat others with respect and courtesy at all times.

  • Refrain from abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or harassing language or behaviour.

  • Not share illegal, misleading or inappropriate content.

  • Not post offensive images, voice notes or links.

  • Not impersonate others or misrepresent identity or affiliations.

The admins reserve the right to remove any member or message at their sole discretion without warning.

3. Financial Transactions & Payment Safety

All financial transactions between members of this community, whether for tickets, travel or accommodation costs, pub tabs, group purchases, collections, lending, gifts, sweepstakes or any other reason, are entirely private matters between the individuals involved. They are not arranged, facilitated, endorsed or monitored by Leeds, That! Ltd.

By participating in the community, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Leeds, That! Ltd, its directors, admins and moderators are not responsible for any money, goods, services or other value exchanged between members, for any reason whatsoever.

  • We do not verify, vouch for, endorse or guarantee any transaction or any member.

  • Familiarity is not safety. Even where money is exchanged informally between people who know each other or consider themselves mates, the transaction remains entirely between those individuals. We cannot recover funds, mediate disputes or intervene if something goes wrong.

  • You participate in any transaction entirely at your own risk.

Payment guidance - read this before sending money:

  • Never send money to anyone you cannot independently verify.

  • Do not pay upfront for anything unless you are genuinely willing to lose the money.

  • Avoid gift cards, cryptocurrency, PayPal "friends and family" and other non-recoverable payment methods. These are common signs of a scam.

  • Bank transfers are final. Once sent, it is unlikely you will recover the money if something goes wrong.

  • If in doubt, do not send money. No ticket, trip, round or collection is worth being scammed over.

Leeds, That! Ltd cannot and will not recover funds, mediate disputes or accept responsibility for any financial loss that occurs between members.

4. Ticket Exchanges

The Ticket Chat is a voluntary, peer-to-peer space where fans may offer or request spare tickets at face value only. All ticket exchanges are subject to the general rules in Section 3. In addition:

  • You will not resell tickets above face value. This is considered illegal touting under UK law.

  • You must comply with LUFC's official ticketing terms, relevant legislation and ground regulations.

  • Admins do not verify tickets or users.

Any breach of these rules may result in permanent removal and potential reporting to authorities or the football club.

5. Scam Awareness & Reporting

Scammers do target football supporter groups. Please stay alert.

Common warning signs include:

  • New members with no profile picture or recent activity in the group.

  • Pressure to pay quickly or "before someone else takes it".

  • Requests to move the conversation to another platform.

  • Refusal to use the official LUFC ticket transfer system.

  • Prices, offers or deals that seem too good to be true.

  • Requests for unusual payment methods.

If you spot suspicious behaviour, report it to an admin immediately and do not engage further. If you have been scammed, report it to Action Fraud (actionfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040) and to your bank as quickly as possible.

6. Data, Privacy & Security

  • You must not harvest, scrape or collect phone numbers, names or other personal data from the group.

  • You must not send unsolicited direct messages for promotional or malicious purposes.

  • Any misuse of personal data may result in removal and potential legal action.

7. Moderation & Disputes

Admins may take appropriate action at their discretion, including:

  • Issuing warnings

  • Temporarily muting participants

  • Removing individuals from the group(s)

  • Reporting serious misconduct to WhatsApp, LUFC or legal authorities

No discussion will be entered into regarding moderation decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leeds, That! Ltd, its directors, admins and moderators accept no liability whatsoever for:

  • Any financial transaction, exchange of money, goods or services between members, for any reason.

  • Any dispute between members arising from such transactions or otherwise.

  • The actions, statements or content posted by any member.

  • Any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from use of or participation in the community.

Your participation in the WhatsApp Community is entirely at your own risk and on an "as is" basis. No warranty of any kind is given or implied.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. A visible "Last updated" date will be posted at the bottom of the landing page or message when material changes occur.
